    Saturday Blog Walk

     
    This week's topic for the Saturday Blog Walk, brought to you by Christine, is
     
    Who is the funniest person you know,
    and why?
     
     
    That's easy.  The funniest person I know, by far, is my best friend Brianne.  It's not that she tells jokes or has a funny life, it's just the WAY she describes things that's funny.  If you don't believe me, check out her blog.  Brianne and I have known each other for about 2 and a half years, and the banter we have is legendary.  People laugh when they're around us (just ask Vulcan Boy).   Here's a sample of a conversation we have actually had. 
     
    We were watching Jerry Springer one morning, back when she lived with me, and I was complaining that the midgets on the show could have 2 girls fighting over them, and I had trouble finding one good man.
     
    J:  It's not fair, how come people like that can find love, and I can't?
     
    B:  They have a gimmick...you need a gimmick.
     
    J:  A gimmick?
     
    B:  Well yeah, they're midgets.  That's their gimmick.  If you could find yourself a gimmick, you'd have no problem.
     
    J:  Surely I already have a gimmick, don't I?
     
    B:  Well, you ARE obsessive-compulsive, swear like a trucker, and you've got that whole "belching-louder-than-anyone-I-know" thing. 
     
    J:  I'm a really good person, I have  lot to offer a guy, isn't that a gimmick?
     
    B:  No.
     
    J:  Why not?
     
    B:  It just isn't.
     
    J:  Oh. 
     
    Then we turn back to the show, and have the same banter on a different subject a few minutes later.
     
    I can talk to Brianne about anything, and she never judges me...she makes fun of me, yeah, but she can take it as well as she dishes it out.  And she IS a freak, so she's easy to make fun of, believe me.

    P.S. Lizzifer (known to Brianne and I simply as "Puke") comes in at a very close second place for the funniest person I know.  She is a fellow spacer, and we have also developed quite a funny banter, she and I.  You should check out her space sometime, too.

    Aww Jen, I just read your story on Flo....I can sooo relate to that. I just wish all families were like Flo's. Ready to accept death and not blame the nursing staff. I am burned out from my job because we seem to have so many NOT accepting the deaths of loved ones. I could count on 1 hand right now how many Flo stories are like this. Lately, we haven't had this. Your right though.....something like this is WHY I still like the bedside nursing part:) I can understand. I find it comforting to assist somebody to die....some people would call me morbid, but I don't. People like Flo need somebody with them. Thank God for nurses! NOT an angel of death....and ANGEL of MERCY and CARE:)

    LMAO!!! I could just picture you 2 having that conversation! i'm pretty sure your a funny person too! I could see you being one of those ppl who just says things and ppl laugh I'm not too sure why but I like to think that!!

    As a single myself, I find this hysterical -it so matter of fact -I giggled!!! A gimmick - I don't think I have one -it is so interesting really!! I'm not an offical blog walker but i'm blog walking and hope I am not intruding. I stumbled across you all and have been enjoying your sites. You all have such terrific senses of humor - I'm sitting here by the window smiling at my computer -my neighbors must really think i'm enjoying my work! and so dedicated to be continuing working on Sat. evening LOL!     It's always good to have friends that make you laugh and smile all the time.. that's for shizzle. :S lol, but yeah. When you talk to them you can really use "lol" because they know you're laughing for reeeeal.. but yeah.. running low on things to say now, woo... i'm outtie :P

    ok Jenn i followed each and every link and I read the blog entries :) your lucky all three seem like realy nice people its nice to have friends like that nice blog entry. I enjoy reading your stuff. I know I dont leave alot of comments on your site, some of the stuff is serious some not, the opions very on the remarks depending on the subject.. I also love your quotes of the day.. I m always by for a visit to read thanks for stoping by and leaving a comment on my site.. Thanks for also sharing.. Max is a great kid. we've been through hell and back.. im glad he kept his sense of humor hes developing into a realy nice young man.. your blog entry struck me yesterday could not do what u do in a million years in a way its good for you to be able to write it out in the blog and get it off your chest.. youd think that you would get amune to stuff like that, it reminds us that we are after all human beings first.
